Judy has had a life-long love of dance.   She started her study of dance in her native Indiana when she was just 4 years old.  By the time she was in high school, she was teaching neighborhood children to dance in her basement.  While in high school she helped to establish a school dance team which toured Europe during her senior year and still exists to this day.

After graduation, she attended Purdue University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis on speech and drama.  Judy’s dance training includes studying under some of the most reputable teachers and choreographers across the United States and Europe.  After Judy relocated to Florida; she worked steadily as a dance teacher in the Brandon/Valrico area.  In 1991, Judy finally fulfilled her dream of opening her own dance studio and Judy’s Dance Academy opened its doors.  Many of Judy’s students are currently continuing their dance educations at some of the most prestigious universities in the country.  Others are pursuing their careers as members of Ballet Companies, sports team dancers and as theme park entertainers.  Her goal for the past 23 years has been to pass on the love of dance to her students while providing quality dance education.
